9:46 PM; Updating phones
For the rest of the world that doesn't know, I got a new phone!!

The Nokia E75 is really nice with the keypad and stuff, will insert in a picture when stupid blogger stops malfunctioning!

Anyway, just found out how to install themes and things into the phone! Cool stuff. Now trying to backup all my phone contacts and synchronise the hell out of my phone. When I'm free I'll look for some free games to download onto my phone as well. Whee!!! Eat that iphone I am a loyal Nokia fan haha!!! Well not really it's just that I always happen to get a Nokia phone.

It surfs the net and stuff!!! Really it couldn't make me happier. It will really come in handy when the school term starts. Will remember to download the class list into the phone for emergency uses.

Yes this is really a random post but then updating your new phone really is hard work!!

12:18 AM; Horos!

Some things I found over the internet, courtesy of the site www.pisces.com. We're now in the age of pisces, did you know?

Personality Traits & Information

The Astrological birth sign of Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

is usually associated with being extremely creative, sensetive, and artistic, as well as a healthy fascination with the metaphysical and spiritual.

Pisces are the most intuitive and spiritually developed of the zodiac birth signs.

Aptly called "old souls", Pisces thirst for spiritual knowledge and personal growth. They are the twelfth, and last, of the Zodiac signs, and as such, tend to have a more finely tuned intuition, sixth sense or extrasensory ability to perceive others feelings.

The duality of the Pisces personality is best described as a constant ebb and flow,

back and forth, straddling the physical, material world and the ethereal, divine realm where Pisces vivid imagination, powerful intuition and creative daydreaming feel like home.

Pisces are creators.

Pisces are common as inventors, writers, musicians, painters, and dancers. Pisces make great friends and mates. Pisces are extremely loyal and caring. Pisces often possess uncanny intuitive or psychic abilities.

PISCES - February 19 - March 20

Pisces is the 12th sign of the Zodiac and is represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions. The two fish symbolize the internal struggle of the soul within a Pisces. Often, the fish are swimming away from each other in a circle representing life after death or reincarnation. Pisces is considered a feminine or negative sign. Feminine signs are considered more passive, receptive and sensitive than masculine/positive signs.

Pisces are sensitive, humane and often idealistic. People born under this sign react emotionally to everything making them compassionate and sensitive to those around them. Rather than taking an analytical approach to life, pisces react to the feelings of others and as a result can be very influential when they choose to be. In the right situaltion a Pisces can be capable of incredible deeds. The positive nature of a Pisces and the fact that they are tuned into the feelings of others makes them socially popular.

Being able to read and react to situations makes Pisces one of the most adaptive signs in the Zodiac. They are very intuitive and as a result can be flexible and prosper in many different situations. The intuitive nature of Pisces also makes them a very creative and imaginative sign. Pisces are often artists, writers and dreamers. The strong intuition of a Pisces can also mean that they are very spiritual.

ELEMENT: Water

Pisces is one of 3 water signs in the Zodiac, all of which share similar characteristics. Water signs are typically sensitive, emotional (sometimes vulnerable), creative, sensitive and melancholic. The other water signs in the Zodiac that share these characteristics are Cancer and Scorpio.

PLANETS: Jupiter & Neptune

Two planets, the lucky Jupiter and sensitive Neptune rule Pisces. Jupiter, lord of the gods, fuels a thirst for knowledge and understanding in Pisces and provides a natural lucky streak for the sign. Neptune, king of the sea, provides the sensitive and spiritual qualities in Pisces. Neptune is associated with idealism and compassion, but also with confusion & deception making Pisces the most impressionable sign in the Zodiac.

1:04 AM; Pants on fire.
I think I am too used to lying to myself.

Maybe I need a change in pace and environment.

The day may be tomorrow.

Who knows?

9:31 PM; Dashed.
It gets old waiting for some dude on a white horse; where can you even find a horse in Singapore anyway?

I think I am just too jaded.

Wow I blogged like three times today.

Maybe I should get into the tweeting business?

9:31 PM; Dashed.

5:09 PM; Lost.
I dropped my 2 day old thumb drive into water and it died.

1:34 PM; Lessons
Ironically, there's always more to learn, as mentioned by Lewis Caroll in Alice in Wonderland, which is a book that needs a lot of reading in between the lines.

Anyway, I won't say that the present job is very easy, but neither is it very tough as well. What is really requires is a wonderful ability of multi-tasking and keeping on top of the things you're supposed to do in the day.

I think on the whole I've been lucky to get an understanding mentor, especially when I've heard about the horror stories of other people. "Why can't you have common sense, I'm sure that my three-year old daughter can understand instructions better than you can" isn't instructive, and I am sure is strictly in the realm of the rude and insulting, when you mean it so much.

That kind of got me thinking about how I was in the past. I think I was always unforgiving about other people's mistakes and their short-comings, but then when you really step into their shoes you realize that when starting out, the last thing you need is really for someone to crumble whatever little confidence you have in yourself.

Besides, these things seem to go in a downward spiral. The more you criticize, the more people crumble, and the worse they perform. Fearing of mistakes seems to lead to even more mistakes made. You really must make allowance for the fact that people cannot think on their feet all the time, and not when after a hectic and tiring morning.

Talking about mistakes, there must be tons of books that cover this, but miscommunication is really a real and key problem. That is why having SOPs and ground rules are so important. So that people can follow the same set of rules.

That is something probably the store can benefit from. I mean, on my first day at work nothing about what I do was explained to me, so I was essentially a human robot programmed for a one-time task. I mean there are time contraints, but then a proper brefing at the start can probably save a lot of grief later on.

I think I've definately mellowed over the years.

It is nice to encourage when they do the right things, the same way you would use encouragement to house-train a pet. People and animals aren't that different. They need to be conditioned, and doing so under duress is extremely difficult.

We shall all be nice to one another.
