8:46 PM; Find, finding, found.
Is it really that difficult to look for a person that will make you happy, and likewise conversely?

I am apalled at the frightening ease at which some people achieve this. And then some more.

I always thought that considering all circumstance (past, present and the future) there would be this omipotent person that can make all the couples (and triples or whatever) very happy. There would be no wars and everyone would live happily till the end of their days.

Haha.

8:13 PM; Let's stick about for a little wondering.
There are some things people tell, and some things people don't tell.

I think I learned discretion from a pretty young age.

Yeah I know I might not be the tightest mouth on earth, but then there are always reasons and occasions for telling.

But for things that matter, I don't think I've ever told.

Because sometimes people don't really want to know the truth. Or rather, people don't need to know the truth.

Or maybe I haven't found the right occasion to do so? The right time? I don't know.

Or maybe because it wouldn't matter one way or the other.

Because the world won't stop spinning.

Because it isn't knowledge, but a more or less useless piece of information.

Because maybe I just don't want to risk it.

Ramblings ramblings ramblings.

Anyway, I think people need to learn to discern being 'emo' and being introspective all over again. Maybe this is what pop culture does to you really.

Reduce your feelings and experiences to a cheap song and dance routine that they try to sell to you for $19.95 and over the MTV. Then people identify with those things and then everyone's happy cos one party thinks that there is someone in the world who understands their plight and another is happy because they understand the mechanics of good promotion that barely conceals the dollar signs between words of hypnotic brainwash they broadcast 5 times daily.

The above paragraph was the "emo" and not the introspection that speaks. See the difference.

9:00 AM; Bad things like to come together.
Horrors of horrors, I realised that every module that I take has a project of some kind. So in order:

Place env & soc - Geog project

Pharmaco - Small group assignments (2 CAs)

Pharm Microbio - 2000 word report (7 practical reports)

Pharm Biotech - A0 poster (1 CA, 2 guest lecture quizzes)

Pharm pract - Case studies (3 CAs)

At least I am forewarned.

If I survive this, there is always the carnage of year 3 sem 1 to look forward to.

8:34 AM; Maybe we'll all be happy hardworking bunnies.
I know that I like to rant about school here a lot, but seriously at this point in time in my life I think that's the place I have the most issues with.

It struck me yesterday that how paranoid I've been in NUS worrying about my marks, obsessing over everything I get for any graded assignment, not matter how trivial the grades are. Inevitably, every piece of work turns into a real chore when you keep on nit-picking like that.

I guess that really defeats the real point of learning, but not like anyone doesn't want their honors, no matter how hard they have to slog to get it.

The sad thing is that my grades (at least for pharm mods) are so mediocre even after trying quite hard and really mugging your ass off. You wonder sometimes if going through your lecture notes for the nth time if you're ever going to get something out of it, but somehow not reading your notes for the nth + 1 time is too sinful to not to do.

Anyway I checked the schedule for this semester, and I think it promises nothing to be less than hell-raising, as far as the workload is concerned. I have like 109 drugs that I will somehow have to commit to memory at the end so that they can pack me off to gardian's or watson's or something that would not make me look like a failure to the department.

Oh well.

Tests abound in March. Talk about happy 21sts. I think all that gives are like more troubles and worries.
