8:45 PM; Bout of sentiment.
Am suddenly overcome with nostalgia for some of the things from my secondary school past.
Upon reflection it was not a bad period of time but I would like to think that I have matured a lot beyond that.
Certain
iconography still holds its appeal. Old charms.
Oh well we were once happy people living in their own worlds.
Still like to do that. Life gets to tiring otherwise.

7:30 PM; What will come, will come.
Just finished the last Harry Potter.
The ending of 19 years later was pretty much very standard. I have never been very keen on the Ron/
Hermonie and Harry/Ginny arc anyway.
But having read it before the series' glory days (that was way back in P3!!!), it really has grown up a lot, like how the
protag has. But I still prefer the earlier books. They're happier.
On another note, darker than black is now pretty good. They like to give lots of hints as to what is going on too. There's something just so fantastic about their allusions. The episode preview at the end is always pretty interesting anyway. It's a little like poetry, not that I'm a fan of rhyme and metre or something like that.
School starts pretty soon. Don't know what to make of it.

8:24 PM; Feeling better
Yeah life is getting slightly better.
Went out after being a hermit for a week. First time I stepped out of the house in this period. Paid the
condescending lady for the link card thing. Must remember to collect it. I can't stand paying the stupid adult fees. The way the money deducts is really scary.
I need some more clothes. Will need to do a bit more of shopping.
Hmm started this but am not in the mood.

1:31 PM; Sick Blog Day 8
Now that I have no life it is justified for me to blog on a regular basis.
Yeah most of the face have formed scabs and none are really terribly big so I guess I shall survive this thing indeed.
On reflection it hasn't been all that scratchy as well. Maybe it's because I have really not a lot of pox, with nearly none on my legs and hands. The one or 2 in my scalp is really bothering me though, but I'm scratching it, see if I care for scars on my scalp. Hopefully after saying this I will never have to be bald for any reason.
Yay! However there's one on my hand that's really bothering me. The watery stuff has gone but it sort of refuses to scab. Damn don't tell me that's a secondary bacteria infection, in which case I will put lots of antibacterial cream on it, since I do have a lot after the removal of the mole (twice, hope the old medication is around somewhere.)
Oh yeah to keep a record of the things I am trying to watch at the moment:
-
Inuyasha-
Tantei Gakuen Q
-Liar Game
-Claymore
-Darker than Black
-
Naruto-
Bleah-Cooking Master Boy
Yucks that sounds like a
sucky otaku, but I swear for the latter 2 I only catch the new episodes which comes out here and there so it doesn't count.
Hah.
Anyway Claymore doesn't seem that interesting, and since I am watching too many unhappy shows I think it seriously ought to be balanced by some more light-hearted stuff.
Ouran anyone? I still think it's the funniest series around.
Have been occupying my time with sudoku, being the bored person I am. I don't seem to be able to do level 5 puzzles, but I think I have vastly improved. My timing still sucks though. I think that's because I keep retracing my old paths. Well well it keeps me from making mistakes.
Still reading Little Women. They're too saintly and goody-two-shoes for my liking, but not a very bad read. I guess it's the equivalent of tween Lit in its own era. Talking of gooy-two-shoes have i already mentioned MSN Mainichi's (which means daily, from the jap teacher. gosh I've already missed 2 lessons) Waiwai section?
Oh yeah the 19 something
korean show? I think I can miss like 10 episodes and still know what on earth is going on. The characters are still the same and the last time I checked, still hold the same jobs and have the same relationships with the same people.
Occasional updates like, oh he decides to go to Singapore (of all the places) to help his pop run the branch is quite sufficient to clue you in as to what is happening. Gosh they have to act out one single stupid dilemma in 5 episodes or something. Each episode documents a day, and the next the next day I tell you. Snail's pace.
Yeah back yo watching a little more
Internet streaming.

2:43 PM; Sick Blog Day 7
I think I am
definitely getting better. Hooray. But the things are still refusing to form scabs though, how annoying.
Oh for bored people out there I
recommend you the
MSN Mainichi news. Go look under the
Waiwai section, and the stories there are simply hilarious, like this one I'm reading now:
"Picky Japanese princesses pass on putrid peckers
Unmarried Japanese women are most unlikely to compromise and tie the knot with a guy if he has a smelly penis, according to Spa! (7/10).
Of 100 women in their mid-20s to mid-30s that the men's weekly surveyed, 96 said they could look askance at some unsavory aspects of a man, but not if his amorousness stands out more for its odor.
......
"Full article link
here.
Muhahahaha. I am so amused. Funny, whimsical and outrageous should about sum it all up.
Oh and some of the puns are really quite good:
" Matsushima bordered on the criminal with one of her former students she was employed to give private lessons as he attempted to get into a top music college. They ended up alone one day and his remark that she resembled a popular actress saw Matsushima transform her fantasy into a reality. She was soon naked on all fours on a bed with the teen's attentions taken from his piano to his organ."Piano to organ. Haha.
The other sections are not too bad too but if you just need a good laugh go checkout the
Waiwai archive.

1:33 PM; Sick Blog Day 6
The good news is the pox has stopped coming. Haven't seen ones from yesterday.
Bad new I burst one on my hand though. Don't know what on earth happened.
So
hopefully everything gets better real soon.
Anyway I suddenly recalled some petty primary school fights. That was when I learnt the lesson of minding my own business, I think. I think I was trying to play mediator and then I ended up as the object of loathing by both parties. Ironic really, considering how fast both ganged up.
MYOB,
MYOB.
Another thing I learnt was how I think maybe a pointless apology (hey was I even in the wrong?) may just be given to soothe whatever pointless argument may be better.
Provided the other party bears the same feelings too. Otherwise it just looks silly.
I think I am getting too
feely. Yuck.

6:39 PM; Sick Blog Day 5
Hello nothing has changed.
Keep on forgetting to take ariclovir regularly. Damn.
Am halfway through Little Women. I've haven't seen the alternative use of the word gay so many consecutive times before.
Finished 5 suoku puzzles and watched part of my moms new drama serial, loosely translated as 19's pure love or something. Being 19 ain't such a big deal, but Koreans seem to love the number. There's another on a 19 year old bride I think. Overrated.
On to Inuyasha.

6:11 PM; Sick Blog Day 4
Good news. The pox is now on my face and everything is either aching or itching. My face is now one big splotchy mess that looks as though the acne attack of the century has happened. The other swellings are still red, watery and raw.
Resisting the urge to scratch. Have cut my nails short should my resolve fail. And then, only through my shirt. There is this particular spot on my back with is making me do what all this ugly red things deserve. Restraint, restraint.
On the other hand, I have finished reading The Great Gatsby (no not the hair cream you) and have started on Little Women, once again to find out what all the fuss is about. Will continue to
Silas Marner next and then to finish of the The Time Traveller's wife. I lost interest in the latter some one-third into the book; it seems that I really cannot appreciate most love novels. The only ones I got through were both by
Roblyn Sisman (did I spell that correctly??) and that was a long time ago. Gatsby does not qualify because it falls under the classics
category.
Oh since I'm confined I've taken to surfing the web for entertaining stuff to watch, mainly on
crunchyroll. I am pleased to say that Detective Academy Q is now
available in drama form, which I think is very different from the
anime or
manga. Having watched the
anime, I really think it's not a bad show, along the lines of Young
Kindachi and Detective Conan, although I believe this series is slightly longer.
I am still waiting for the conclusion to the live-action of Liar Game as well. From the forum post I've read, it's 2.5 hrs long and I think the subbed version is still not out yet.
Been waiting to download episodes of Darker than Black. Now that
Shinsen subs have dropped it, I'm hard pressed to find episodes 11 and 12. Will keep my fingers crossed and hope that the place I download it from can resume online.
Oh and the
Jap version of Hana
Kimi is out!! Think it will be subbed soon (2 or 3 episodes have been already aired in Japan) so will watch out for that. The lead actor
Quan (aka
Sano) in the Taiwan version will be played by
Oguri Shun (did I spell that correctly as well?) who I think did a pretty
ok job as
Hanazawa Rui in Hana
Yori Dango 2 (again the
Jap version beats the Taiwan one hands down) so I shall keep my eyes peeled.
I think if you're trapped in the house you are entitled to entertain yourself mindlessly. Maybe not too mindlessly.

4:09 PM; Sick Blog day 3
I
officially got sick on Monday so today is the third day I am down with the accursed virus.
It is now itchy and painful and I shall be happy once this is over.
Took some
panadol so the headache and fever's gone. Thank goodness for it.
Am resisting scratching anywhere.
Repeat to myself. I must not touch my face I must not touch my face.
Broken Blister Count!!! 5 I think.
I have spots on my scalp to, just realised.

10:58 AM; Bugs and Singaporean bands
Breaking news. I officially have the pox.
It started with some funny red colour bumps and I was scratching away at one of them cos it was painless and bumpy. Then a light fever began to set in and when I woke in the morning there were a few more of them. Anyway, it just felt like I was going to be sick.
At least this is before university life starts so hopefully it'll be over very soon. The blisters aren't very itchy at this point and hopefully it stays that way as I'm quite bad at resisting poking at those parts.
Had a long long sleep after taking 2
penadol pills last night. A spectacular dream then ensued, something about a bunch of guys with sunglasses,
afro dos (not too big) and sparkly pantsuits performing on a stage, singing a song called California Love (twice I think because I didn't catch the song the first time around). There was this synthesizer thingy that started out as normal piano keys and then morphed into this crayola-like set of crayons in a rainbow coloured series (each key was a crayon and inside this yellow box). Then for some weird reason I was pounding this weird set of keys in time with the music while the bunch of guys started to dance in weird flamboyant style and started to form this pyramid-like thing. There were about 10 of them and amidst the loud thumping music ( like some of those old hippie Japanese songs from eons ago) and me banging away at the keyboard the guys suddenly morphed and another weird band started to take shape with the crowd cheering below.
This new band took the stage with the same song but what was so fantastically cool about them was that they claimed to be a Singaporean band who has released this album in Japan but are on a world-wide concert tour that was currently at Vancouver. I vividly remember holding onto an album of theirs in the same shade as the crayola yellow with half the words in Japanese. I was of course suitably impressed and then this meet and greet session started right away on stage.
First there was 2 Indian father and son with checkered turbans on their heads and dressed like those old
kachang puteh uncles (white shirts and sarongs). Next there was this skinny Malay guy in something I can't remember. Then there were also one or 2 ladies whom I can't recall as well. The highlight was this big shiny sliver doll on stilts who then towered over everyone on stage, presumably as a singer as well. Then the Indian guy cracked a very lousy joke which I can't remember and from then on everything was pretty much a blur.
It was really whimsical, but pretty fun at the same time.

5:57 PM; Follow through
I have this inability to finish what I start out to do. If people don't force me through it I usually tend to lose interest halfway.
But I digress.
Am back to being in a vegetative coma state in front of the computer.
Try Claymore and Liar's Game, an
anime and a J-drama respectively on
crunchyroll. The latter for all people who like mind games and such.
Back to the show.
My eyes hurt from the hours of staring.

1:38 PM; Things that go bump in the night
Had a funny dream that I feel compelled to describe, as a testament to my over working imagination.
It was something that reminded me of some classic book I read. My brain kept telling me that the author was a female with the name Jane. And no it was not Jane
Auston. Somehow I don't think she writes such funny stuff.
Anyway, it was something about a woman who kept on giving birth to clones of herself. The storyline basically ran something like there was this big mystery as to why this mom kept on wearing this white mask which she never takes off. Can't remember much of the in between, which was kind of muddled up as it involved this electric store ( I think) and some other random characters, one of them being me.
This lady was forever doomed to give birth to a daughter that was herself, and I think to prevent the daughter from knowing she wears the mask to prevent her from seeing her face for fear of
recognition as all of them look alike. All of them were condemned to living through the lives of their predecessors, which I am sure was something tragic. Remembered there's quite a bit of fire involved in the dream, but I can't really recall.
So the story runs with this author telling the story, and the horrible thing was everything happened almost the same as the previous cycle, with some minor variations. I'm sure there was a brother somewhere involved; he wasn't a good guy.
This continued for the entire night, and I'm sure would have made a very entertaining story had I been able to remember more of it.
Funny how my most weird dreams always have the theme of giving birth in them. There was this other, but it happened a long time ago and not really worth noting down since I haven't forgotten it.
It's one of those dreams.
